The Latin American and Iberian Law and Economics Association (ALACDE) will hold its XIV  ANNUAL CONFERENCE next April 26-27, 2010 at the Escuela Superior de Economía y Negocios, ESEN – at San Salvador, El Salvador.

About the Conference

The meeting will bring together top scholars from Latin America and around the world to contribute to the development of the field of Law and Economics.

Submissions

Those interested in presenting a paper are invited to submit an electronic copy of the final paper (Word or PDF) or an at least two pages long outline attached to an e-mail message to Este endereço de e-mail está protegido contra SpamBots. Proposals should also include an abstract in English; keywords; JEL classification; and contact information, including author’s complete name, e-mail, telephone, postal address and current academic or professional position.

The submission deadline is January 19th, 2010.

Papers may be on any topic in or related to Law and Economics with particular emphasis on:

1. International Law and Economics; 2. Property, including Intellectual Property; 3. Torts; 4. Contracts; 5. Corporate Law and Economics and Corporate Governance; 6. Criminal Law and Law Enforcement; 7. Legal Rule-making, including Litigation; 8. Market and Non-market Regulation;  9. Law and Public Policy, including Antitrust; 10. Behavioral Law and Economics; 11. Constitutional Law and Economics; including Discrimination; 12. Bankruptcy and Financial Regulation; 13. Law and Development; 14. Trade Law; 15. Energy Law; 16. Environmental Law; 17. Family Law and Economics.

Papers will be selected by a committee appointed by the ALACDE. Its members will not be allowed to submit papers to the meeting.

Acceptance of proposals will be communicated to authors by February 28th, 2010. Authors whose papers are accepted should be available to comment on other papers presented during the meeting.   A final electronic version of the accepted papers must be sent to the local organizers by March 20th, 2010.
